FOLKS, Sterling Annual Town Meeting voters, on 4 May 2026, voted down in clear and convincing fashion BOTH of the Sterling D.P.W.’s outrageous proposed scams. The proposed $25.5 million D.P.W. Garage Mahal Boondoggle was shot down in flames by a vote of 286 to 227, and the D.P.W.’s absurd Boondoggle II, its plan to replace the historic 420 foot long stone-and-mortar Oak Hill Cemetery Retaining Wall, most of which is still solid despite its approximate 170 year age, and all of which can be repaired by a competent stone mason company, the replacement cost projected to be $3.5 to $5 million, was voted down overwhelmingly in short order. BOTH the Finance Committee and the Capital Budget Committee, displaying some common sense for a change, voted unanimously—6 to 0—against the Oak Hill Cemetery Retaining Wall Replacement Scam.
THE INSIDE SCOOP ON THE PLANNED D.P.W. AND MUNICIPAL BUILDING ELECTION DAY DIRTY TRICKS
On 6 May 2026 a loyal reader of this Blog and a reliable source was at the Sterling Municipal Building and learned that the D.P.W. and Municipal Building hacks are mobilizing their CRONY NETWORK to come out on Election Day, 11 May 2026, to vote in favor of Ballot Questions 2 and 3, THE TWO AFOREMENTIONED D.P.W. SCAMS SHOT DOWN AT THE ANNUAL TOWN MEETING. As shown by Town Meeting voting results in recent years, that dedicated Town Clown Crony Network numbers, consistently, about 200.
SO WHY ORCHESTRATE THIS NOW-MOOT VOTE??? BECAUSE THE D.P.W. and Municipal Building Dirty Trickster Hacks want to say that a positive ballot trend for Questions 2 and 3 indicates ‘Town-wide support by voters who could not make it to the 2026 Annual Town Meeting.’ IN OTHER WORDS, GINNED-UP BULLSHIT BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BRING BACK BOTH DEFEATED D.P.W. SCAMS FOR YET ANOTHER SPECIAL TOWN MEETING VOTE.
SO, IT IS IN YOUR BEST INTERESTS TO COME OUT ON ELECTION DAY, MONDAY, 11 MAY 2026, 12:00 NOON TO 7 P.M. AT THE HOUGHTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GYM, AND VOTE ‘NO’ ON BALLOT QUESTIONS 2 AND 3.

So just declare Sterling a sanctuary town free of “Prevailing Wage” rules like is done with ICE statutes – e.g. Governor Maura Healey’s administration has spent approximately $1.87 billion on shelters and related services for illegakl migrants, over the last two fiscal years.
